Let's get outside and explore the great city of Orlando!

  1. Lake Eola Park - With the sun stretching across the Orlando high rise skyline, relax in this pleasant and scenic spot in the downtown district right in the heart of Orlando. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the major theme parks and cozy up next to the beautiful lake. Grab a picnic, do yoga, hop on one of the paddle boats, sit at the amphitheater, or if you're feeling a bit active, rent a bike and stroll around the park.

2. Blue Spring State Park - Following along the St. John's River, this quaint and quiet park is popular for locals and tourists alike. With crystal blue water and overhanging oak trees, this spring is also home to manatees which may appear and give you a cute wave. Perfect for sunny days out by the water.

3. Wekiwa Springs - A natural spring located just north of Apopka, the clear blue waters and large green trees provide the perfect atmosphere for an afternoon in the sun. Go swimming or tubing in the warm, natural spring, rent a kayak and do some exploring, set up a tent at the campground, or just lay by the water and enjoy a little escape from reality.

4. Harry P. Leu Gardens - Large, extensive walk through of these gardens provides a serene escape from the busy world and transports you into a cozy archive of flora and fauna delight. Explore the natural butterfly garden, citrus grove, and famous floral clock at the center.

5. The Everglades - These wetlands are home to Orlando and run through much of Central Florida, where the swampy, moss covered environment is relatively quiet and homely. Rent a canoe and sail through the quaint waters of this beautiful, subtropical oasis.

6. Tibet-Butler Nature Preserve - If you're into hiking and trails, this spot is perfect for the little adventurers out there. Explore the natural habitats of various wildlife and woodland creatures in this nature center lying on the west side of Orlando. The trail loops and winds with wide sidewalks, great for a morning run or bike ride, afternoon jog, or sitting under the sun with a picnic blanket and some friends.
